I first purchased a Panasonic portable dvd player pretty much on impulse at the store because the price was good. When I got home I read the reviews (I know, that's kind of a backwards way to do it, but then it was an impulse buy) and they weren't so good. After doing more research, it seemed this Sony unit came out the best so I returned the Panasonic and bought the Sony.I am very happy with my purchase. What I like about this product is the build quality, the picture quality, and the swivel feature. Many portable players lack the swivel feature. This is a very convenient thing to have. And as far as picture quality and build quality, Sony is a reliable company for those two things. It is very well made, the accessories are also first rate, and the instruction manual is a real manual that is understandable and grammatically correct. Two thumbs up on this purchase!
